A newly launched journalist club in Mongolia aims to unite journalists in all mediums to raise environmental awareness in the country.
The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Mongolia, in partnership with the Press Institute of Mongolia, launched the "Green Planet" Environmental Journalists Club, which now includes more than 30 journalists from print, broadcast and online media.
The club was launched within the framework of a one-month environmental campaign, under them message "Your planet needs you! Unite to combat climate change."
At the launch, Mr Gansukh, a Minister for Nature, Environment and Trade, stressed a commitment to promoting environmental journalism, underlining the important role of media in shaping public actions and attitudes in Mongolia.
