Human rights advocates can apply for fellowship

Human rights advocates from around the world are invited to apply for the Front Line Fellowship Program, which offers human rights defenders time out from their normal work to undertake a project which will further develop their capacities and contribute to the protection of human rights defenders internationally.

Fellowships will be offered on a flexible basis for periods of one to six months. Fellowship locations are also flexible, and could include Dublin, Brussels or another venue to be discussed.

Applicants should submit a letter addressing: their experience as a human rights defender and details of their current role; details of any threats, harassment, detention, ill-treatment or other negative consequences faced as a result of their work; a proposal of a project or skills to work on; topics to study as part of the fellowship; requested location, period of time and why; and how participation would contribute to their work and the strengthened protection of human rights activists everywhere.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and should be sent to Tara@frontlinedefenders.org.
