Rights advocates can now access a new resource exploring the use of information and digital technology in advocacy work.
The resource, "10 tactics for turning information into action," provides original and artful ways for rights advocates to capture attention and communicate a cause. It includes a 50-minute film documenting inspiring info-activism stories from around the world, as well as a set of online notecards with tools, tips and advice for use in info-activism.
For each of the ten tactics there are video stories and case studies involving the use of the tactic, suggestions on how to use each tactic and tools that will make their use simpler, all available online. In late March, all the cards and videos with subtitles in eleven languages will be available.
This resource is provided by the Tactical Technology Collective through the project Info-Activism. The film was recently shown at the Open Society Institute in New York City on March 1.
