Argentina's University of Palermo's design and communication school is organizing the fifth edition of Design in Palermo, a meeting of Latin American designers in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

High school students worldwide who are interested in journalism, writing and personal development are invited to attend an Educational Summer Camp in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria from July 4 to 24. Deadline to apply: June 20.  All courses will be taught in English.

The Digital Journalism Center in Guadalajara, Mexico, is organizing a course on new business models for journalism that will comprise an online as well as an in-class component. The online component is scheduled for June 19 to July 30, followed by the in-class section from August 18 to 20 in Guadalajara. The course will provide technical tools for attracting more users and publicity.

Jordanian journalists are invited to participate in a competition exploring the impact of population growth on individuals and health, social and economic aspects of society. Deadline to apply: June 15. The competition is open to print, broadcast and online journalists.

Arab filmmakers are invited to submit entries to the Amal Euro-Arab Film Festival 2010 which will be held in Spain in October 2010.
