Young Russian journalists (ages 18 to 24) who work in print, broadcast or online media and who cover cooperation between Russia and the European Union are invited to apply for a competition named after Russian TV reporter Oleg Migunov. Deadline: April 15, 2010.  Potential themes include: cooperation in economics, social and cultural projects, overcoming stereotypes and others.

Young people up to age 25 from around the world are encouraged to enter the PLURAL+ video festival online. This year's theme surrounds migration, identity, human rights, and diversity. Deadline: June 30. Winning videos will be selected in three seperate age categories (9 to 12 years old, 13 to 17 and 18 to 25).

Moroccan radio journalists are invited to take part in a five-day production-oriented training course which will be held in Marrakech, Morocco from March 29 to April 2.

The Journal of Power Institutions in Post-Soviet Societies invites writers to submit works about the integration of Russian recruits and military into other contemporary foreign armies.

Professional Russian writers, journalists and historians from Russia, New Independent States, Western and Eastern countries are invited to participate in a writing competition with the theme of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) and its veterans.

Reporters and citizen journalists worldwide are invited to participate in the Allvoices Iraqi Elections Reporting Incentive, a contest designed to inspire citizen and professional journalists interested in reporting on Iraq news related to the Parliamentary Elections scheduled to take place March 7.

The Institute for Advancement of Journalism (IAJ) will be holding three media courses from March 8 to 11 in Johannesburg, South Africa. The courses are short and intensive workshops, and all those interested are welcome to register.

The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) will award scholarships to three young candidates to attend the World Table Tennis Team Championships in Moscow, to be held May 23 to 30. Deadline: March 15. Applicants must be under 35 years old and should currently work for a media organization.
