Competition for Russian writers seeks works on WWII

Professional Russian writers, journalists and historians from Russia, New Independent States, Western and Eastern countries are invited to participate in a writing competition with the theme of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) and its veterans. Deadline to submit: May 9, 2010.

The competition aims to find talented authors who specialize in writing about the military.

Submissions should not have been published and should be written according to the requirements, available here (in Russian). Entries should be a minimum of 18,000 characters.

The competition is supported by the magazine The Senator. Winners will receive cash prizes.
