New Zealand's AUT University and community newspaper Indian Newslink are offering a newly launched journalism scholarship for one-year postgraduate programs in an effort to boost the standard and practice of the profession in New Zealand.
The scholarship will be awarded to one student each year. Indian Newslink will cover the tuition fee, student services fee and student association fee. Programs include the Postgraduate Diploma in Communication Studies (Journalism) and the Bachelor of Communication Studies (Hons).
Applications are open to all New Zealand citizens and permanent residents.
The first scholarship will be awarded this year for the 2010 intake. The provisional application deadline is September 30.
