The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) is offering an online chat session on environmental crisis reporting in Persian for Iranian journalists and bloggers. Deadline for applications: December 22.
The chat will take place December 25, following the United Nations conference on Climate Change in Copenhagen, and will provide participants with information and materials about the conference and its outcomes.
The session will be led by Homayoon Kheiri, Iranian journalist, blogger and scholar who has been a reporter and producer of science and environmental programs for years. Kheiri, who participated in the Copenhagen conferece, holds a PhD in Communications.
Required documents include: background about education and work experience; two work samples; a short letter explaining interest in the session.

The environmental crisis is not helped by the lack of real commitment on the part of the main European leaders. They are more concerned with their national political agendas unfortunately, than about solving this global problem. This is an acute issue and reporting it to the masses is fundamental.Mike Sexton
