Training Opportunities

Online course to train editors on digital journalism

Latin American editors are invited to apply for the six-week online course "Challenges and opportunities of digital journalism," administered by the Center of Digital Journalism of Guadalajara. The course is scheduled to begin January 17, 2010.

In the online course, participants will receive training in topics including online journalism trends, multimedia aspects of Latin American media Web sites; citizen journalism and Web site traffic; online business models; creating a media integration plan and more. Applicants should plan to be available 5 to 10 hours a week, and should have basic computer and Internet skills.

The course will be followed by an in-person training in Guadalajara. Only 25 spaces are available.
