Spanish-speaking young journalists invited to submit works on freedom
Posted on: 28/08/2009 Young Journalists Deadline: 30/09/2009 Region: Latin AmericaSpanish-speaking journalists younger than 25-years-old in Latin America and throughout the world have until September 30 to enter a competition that aims to express the concept of freedom and its obstacles.
The contest, organized by Grupo Salinas in Mexico, is accepting works in musical theatre, photography, fine arts, videos and essays. The competition marks the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
The first place winner will be awarded MXN$50,000 (about US$3,780); the second place winner will receive MXN$30,000 (about US$2,268), and the third, MXN$15,000 (about US$1,130). Winners will be announced on November 5.

Asia and the Pacific, Eastern Europe-Central Eurasia, Latin America, Middle East and North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, Worldwide - BBC is seeking short (no longer than 2 minutes) documentary video entries about "how you see the world." Deadline: March 12. Applicants can use any type of camera, including a mobile phone, a point-and-click, or a friend's camcorder. Entries must be sent in any of the following formats: avi, mov, wmv, mp4, mpg, flv, 3gp, wav, mp3 or wma.
- Competition in Russia honors the anniversary of the end of Great Patriotic War

- Young writers -- from middle school to university students -- and writers in the general public are invited to submit entries to a competition devoted to victory in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). Deadline: March 15, 2010. The competition aims to create the national electronic Book of Memory.

- اعتقد ان الصحافه ليست مطلوب منها الكشف عن الجريمه ولكن مطلوب منها اطلاع الجمهور ان هناك جريمه وانتم الحكم بها ..فلا ننسى دور الشرطه والتحفظات الموجوده لكل جريمه بما تحمله من انعكاسات سلبيه على مجتمع او عائله او حتى افراد ويمكن للصحافه ان تزيد الطين بله. فالصحافه ترصد الجريمه فقط بهدف اطلاع المجتمع عليها ولا تتعقبها وتبحث عن الجناة ومن المتهم بذلك تكون اداة لترويج العنف

- لماذا اغلب الصحفيين عندما يرتقون يتغيرون من مدافعين عن حرية التعبير الى التعتيم الاعلامي؟؟؟

- لان الوصول الى القمه صعب جدا فيدفع الصحفى الغالى والنفيس مقابل ذلك وممكن ان يدفع حياته مقابل الايمان بفكره والدفاع عن حق او كشف مجهول ولكن عندما يصل ويتربع على عرش النجومية يبدأ التفكير بالحفاظ على منصبه فيتخلى عن ما اسميه مراهقة صحفية وهى الفترة الاولى للصحفى وطبعا هذا الصحفى يكون قد اتخذ من عمله وسيله لتحقيق مكاسب ماديه او شهره فقط بدون الايمان بواجبه الصحفى ودوره المطلوب منه ويكون قد اكتفى ويرفع شعار " انا ليس لى شأن ولايعننينى الأمر "

- حقيقه لا مفر منها وهى ان ( الاعلام هو تسويق ) ...والوسيله الاعلاميه لابد لها من الحذر فى عرضها لمادتها الاعلاميه حتى لا تأخذ طابع المتاجره بهموم ومشاكل الناس مقابل المال ...... ليس عيبا الموضوع التجارى ولكن الموازنه بينهما بين النموذج التجارى وصناعة الخبر الصحفى

- المراة الصحفية فى غزة اخذت دورا هاما وبارزا وتحدت الصعاب وكانت جنبا الى جنب الرجل ..ولكن تبقى عقلية الرجل الشرقى مسيطره على محدودية مل المرأة وعدم الرغبه بالمرأة المنفتحه ويخشى من تعدد علاقاتها مع زملائها وذلك ينبع بعدم الثقه بالمرأة فتظل محصورة فى دائرة ضيقه وتحت المجهر من الرجل ... ولابد ان نقول وراء كل امرأة صحفية ناجحه لابد من وجود رجل داعم لها يساعدها ويدعمها لتنجح وهذا الشىء نادر جدا ...........
