Mexican journalists can attend a workshop on violence protection, scheduled for November 30 to December 3 at Facultad de Ciencias Políticas y Sociales de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Deadline: November 29.
The program will cover the importance of freedom of expression; international experiences in violence against journalists, prevention and response; creative resources in investigations, stories, and features; tools for assessing risk and making work safer; ethical work to inform with responsibility.
Registration costs US$190. There are 40 spots available. The event is a joint effort of UNAM and the Inter American Press Association (IAPA).
